Plan A Visit!
Seagrove is the ideal getaway for a day or weekend trip. The countryside is beautiful with the turning of the leaves this time of year, the pottery is exquisite, and the number of locations is the perfect amount for a multiple day trip. Our small downtown has charm and fun options for food and entertainment.
It wouldn’t be a trip to Seagrove without staying at the artist-centric Seagrove Stoneware Inn in charming downtown within walking distance to multiple pottery shops. A morning stop in at the Seagrove Café for a latte and cinnamon bun will help start your day off deliciously perfect. If you have a craving for fresh popped popcorn or any one of 20 flavors of ice cream its just a short walk down the street to Asheboro Popcorn Co. Before you leave put your feet up and get a glass of wine or craft beer at The General Wine and Brew located at the crossroads of downtown. During October they will have seasonal beers and Saturday food trucks. Follow them to find out who their food truck guests are during your weekend visit.
Coming from the Raleigh area and want to make a weekend of it? On your way to Seagrove stop in at Milestone Creek Orchards for apple picking and cider slushies in their country store. From the Charlotte area? Take the scenic route through the Uwharrie Mountain pass. Even Greensboro weekenders can find lots of things to do by going to the nationally recognized Asheboro Zoo after a classy breakfast at The Table Bakery or The Black Lantern Tea Room and Bakery in Asheboro. Evenings in Asheboro offer a variety of restaurants and breweries to round out your day of pottery shopping.
