About Seagrove Stoneware
Co-Owner of Seagrove Stoneware, Alexa Modderno, turns most of her pieces on the wheel, but also does some hand building and sculptural work. She sells her work at juried art shows throughout the United States and also in her own gallery in Seagrove. Her new line of tableware is called Moddware. A modern alternative to traditional stoneware pottery. Fired in the high temperature reduction atmosphere, using custom glazes that expose the iron speckles in the clay. With a natural earthy feel on contemporary simple shapes.
